In this next rnd, be sure to crochet around the arms so they are sticking out from the body.

15-17: -3 rounds- sc around. (24)

18: [2 sc, dec] x6. (18)

19: Sc, dec, ch 9, dc 3 in second ch from hook, slst 7 down the ch, [sc, dec] x3, sc, ch 9, dc 3 in second ch from hook, slst 7 down the ch, dec, sc, dec. (12)

Stuff the body.

*Crochet around the legs, as you did the arms before, in this next rnd.

20: Dec x6. (6) Finish off, leaving a tail to close up the hole.

You can choose to cut out felt for the eyes or embroider them over rnds 6 & 7 at an angle, going over the same sts with black yarn 5 times, 3 sts apart. You can also add two little nostrils in between the eyes.

Spaceship

4mm in grey:

1: MR, 6 sc, join to first sc. (6)

2: Ch 1, inc x6, join to first sc. (12)

3: Ch 1, [sc, inc] x6, join to first sc. (18)

4: Ch 1, [2 sc, inc] x6, join to first sc. (24)

5: Ch 1, [3 sc, inc] x6, join to first sc. (30)

6: In BLO- sc around. (30) Be sure you don’t mistake the join for an extra stitch.

7-11: -5 rounds- sc around. (30)

You have now formed the seat of the spaceship.

This next rnd is the beginning of the outside of the ship. You will turn your work so the right side of  your stitches end up on the outside of the ship.

12: Ch 1, turn, BLO- sc around, join to first sc but do not ch 1. (30)

This is how your work should look at this point.

Working continuously in the rnd again:

13: BLO- [4 sc, inc] x6. (36)

14: [5 sc, inc] x6, switch to black on the last st. (42)

15: [6 sc, inc] x6, switch to grey on the last st. (48)

16: [7 sc, inc] x6. (54)

17: [8 sc, inc] x6. (60)

18: [9 sc, inc] x6, switch to black on last st. (66)

19: BLO- [9 sc, dec] x6, switch to grey on last st. (60)

20: BLO- [8 sc, dec] x6. (54)

21: [7 sc, dec] x6. (48)

22: [6 sc, dec] x6. (42)

23: [5 sc, dec] x6. (36)

Stuff around the inside of the spaceship but not so firmly that it loses shape.

24: [4 sc, dec] x6. (30)

25: Working in both loops and the front loop of rnd 5, sc around. (30)

26-27: -2 rounds- sc around. (30)

Finish off and weave in your end.

Attach grey yarn to any front loop of rnd 18 and sc around. Join to first sc and finish off. (66)

Weave in your ends.

Spaceship Lights

4mm in yellow

Make 6

1: MR, sc 6, join to first sc. (6)

2: Ch 1, [sc, inc] x3, join to first sc. (9)

Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Sew the lights evenly around the spaceship just above the edging we did on rnd 18.

You can use one of the lights to cover up most of the joining rnds.

Spaceship Window

4mm in white

1: MR, sc 6. (6)

2: Inc x6. (12)

3: [sc, inc] x6. (18)

4: [2 sc, inc] x6. (24)

5: [3 sc, inc] x6. (30)

6-13: -8 rounds- sc around. (30)

Finish off leaving a tail for sewing.

Sew the back of the window through the front loops of the window and the front loops from rnd 12 of the spaceship across 8 sts.

Ray Gun

3mm in grey:

1: Ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in next 3 chs. (4)

2-4: -3 rows- Ch 1 and turn, 4 sc. (4)

5: Fold the piece and slst through the last row and beg ch at the same time. (4)

6: Ch 3, sc in second ch from hook and next ch, now sc 2 into the side of the fold.

Finish off and weave in your ends.

Take red (or whatever color you prefer) and embroider a little laser on the front of the gun.

Now take 2 or 3 more colors and embroider little buttons on the side of the gun.

You can choose to attach the gun to your little alien’s hand with glue or stitching it on; or just leave it as a free accessory.
